Mayberry is a creation of Chef Joshua Steven Campbell who was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and is a 1997 graduate of Winton Woods High School. He attended The Florida Culinary Institute in West Palm Beach from 1999 to 2001. During school and after graduation he worked at 11th Maple Street for 5 years as Chef De Cuisine (listed in the Zagat survey as top restaurant in the US).

In 2003 Josh returned to Cincinnati for 1 year and worked as a private chef for Bohlke Veneer Corp in Fairfield and for David Falk at Boca when it was located in Northside. In 2004 he returned to Florida and worked a short time as head chef at Osceola Street Cafe in Stuart Florida. Later in 2004 he was offered the Executive Chef position at The Dunmore Beach Club on Harbor Island in the Bahamas which is an Andrew Harper Hideaway Report Best Small Resort. During his 2.5 years at the Dunmore Beach Club he attended the Royal Thai Culinary Academy in Bang Saen Thailand where he learned the art of creating Thai Cuisine which he incorporates into many of his dishes.

Then in 2007 Joshua was offered the position of Director of Cuisine for Graycliff in Nassau, Bahamas which is the only 5 star restaurant in the Caribbean and the only Wine Spectator Grand Award recipient in the Caribbean. While at Graycliff Joshua was the first chef to bring molecular gastronomy to the Bahamas creating such dishes as fried soup, foie gras creme brule, hot pepper cotton candy with shashimi of yellow fin tuna and 24 hour sous vide short ribs. He also learned how to incorporate Bahamian flavors into his cooking style and was an advisor for the Bahamian Olympic Culinary Team.

At Graycliff, he prepared exotic tasting menus for royalty and celebrities such as Prince Edward of Monaco, Prince Albert of Essex, Royal Family of Dubai, Royal Family of Saudi Arabia, Robert Deniro, Sean Connery, Laurence Fishburne, Andy Garcia, Jay Z and Beyonce, Roger Clemens, Dan Marino, Jason Taylor, Chris Collinsworth and Chris Carter.

The goal of Mayberry is to bring high quality creative food at an affordable price to Greater Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky area.
